The Countryside With Style And Simplicity

To go to Can Lluc Hotel Rural, we took a taxi. Honestly, it’s the simplest way: the road ends with a track of red earth. What a pleasure to discover the property of 11 bedrooms, 14 one-bedroom villas and 2 large villas! Lovely welcome, lush gardens, beautiful swimming pool with a panoramic view of hills and orchards. The old and modern architecture discreetly blends into the decor. Far from the noise and traffic jams of Evissa.

Chic and intimate countryside to enjoy Ibiza differently. Our room has a small shaded terrace, near the swimming pool. Inside the room, the rustic decoration is in the Mediterranean style with floor tiles, wood and thick stone walls : simple, practical and comfortable, without unnecessary objects. There are a small fireplace for the winter season, air conditioning, mini bar and television. The large bathroom is bright and the bedding of good quality. A little cocoon. This summer, two new villas with very contemporary decoration have been added.

We had planned a thousand things to do: a trip to the north of the island, a dinner at Aubergine… But from the moment we arrived, we didn’t want to move. The swimming pool deserted during daytime by the customers who visited the island, has become our swimming pool. Swimming, enjoying the view, swimming,. And why not a mini trek in the surroundings, or cycling… Farniente (idleness). The excellent breakfast is presented and served with taste. And the dinner cooked by the chef is delicious too. We sit down on the large terrace, surrounded by vegetation. Dreamily, I watch the night fall slowly. This is the South… beautiful South!

Une oasis de tranquillité

La campagne avec style et simplicité

Pour arriver au Can Lluc Hotel Rural, nous avons pris un taxi. Honnêtement, c’est le plus simple : la route finit par une piste en terre couleur sienne. Mais quel plaisir en découvrant la propriété, comptant 11 chambres, 14 villas d’une chambre et 2 grandes villas! L’accueil est agréable, les jardins luxuriants, la piscine avec vue sur les collines et vergers. L’architecture ancienne et moderne, se fond discrètement dans le décor. Loin du bruit et des embouteillages d’Evissa.

La campagne chic et intimiste, pour profiter d’Ibiza autrement. Notre chambre a une petite terrasse ombragée, proche de la piscine. A l’intérieur, la décoration est de style rustique méditerranéen, tomettes, boiseries et murs en pierres épais : simple, pratique et confortable. Sans objet inutile, avec une petite cheminée pour la saison d’hiver, la climatisation, un mini bar et une télévision. La salle de bain est grande et claire et la literie de qualité. Un petit cocon. Cet été, deux nouvelles villas à la décoration très actuelle ont été ajoutées.

Nous avions planifié mille et une choses : une virée dans le nord de l’île, un dîner chez Aubergine… Mais dès l’instant où nous sommes arrivés, nous ne voulions plus bouger. La piscine, désertée en journée par les clients partis à l’assaut de l’île, est devenue notre QG. Nager, somnoler, nager, nager. Et pourquoi pas un mini treks dans les environs, ou faire du vélo… Farniente. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, présenté et servi avec soin. Et le dîner, cuisiné par le chef est aussi délicieux. On s’attable à une vaste terrasse, entourée de végétation. Rêveuse, je regarde tomber la nuit lentement. On dirait le sud…

Hi beautiful! I put this old article about the lovely NEST hotel & Spa that may inspire you for your next staycation. Let's head to Namur in Belgium!

Are you looking for a haven of peace in Belgium where you can spend a (long) weekend? Reading in the sun with feet in the water and a view of the beautiful stone buildings of an old renovated farmhouse. Enjoying a breakfast made up of organic products from the region. Sleeping in a large tastefully decorated suite, with family or friends. At the NEST Hotel & Spa in Namur, everything is for relaxation.

You need a car to access this little gem located in a residential area. What a great surprise once you are in the property! Warm welcome by the small team and you immediately feel good. We are guided to our “garden view” suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room, dining room, living room and modern kitchen. There is space, a very pleasant lighting, palette of light and soothing colors in contrast with the greenery of the garden.

In the evening, if you don’t want to cook, you can order food and dine in your suite. Or, drive to a restaurant in the center of Namur. During the day, I recommend a nice ride by e-bike that connects Namur to Dinant, along the Meuse river. The round trip is more or less 56 km and landscapes are beautiful. Then come back at the end of the day and simply enjoy your beautiful suite!
