A Stopover in Palma de Mallorca, Spain

No need to go far!

I want to start this new year by sharing with you an island I recently rediscovered and loved during my mini cruise. No it is not an exotic paradise lost in the middle of nowhere…

But during the Indian summer, Palma de Mallorca becomes a precious jewel. Besides the famous Danish fashion designer Malene Birger lives there year round. I really like the color of the blue blue Mediterranean sea and sky!

Emptied of its hordes of tourists, lazing in Palma bathed in a warm soft light, is a bless. And I really like its architecture, narrow streets, churches with carved facades, languor, terraces and hidden palaces. Enjoy these few snapshots!

Pas besoin d’aller loin!

J’ai envie de commencer l’année en partageant avec vous une île que j’ai redécouverte récemment lors de ma mini croisière et que j’aime beaucoup. Non ce n’est pas un paradis exotique du bout du monde…

Mais durant l’été indien, Palma de Mallorca se transforme en un précieux écrin. D’ailleurs la célèbre créatrice de mode danoise Malene Birger y vit à longueur d’année. J’aime la couleur de la mer Méditerranée, du ciel, bleu bleu!

Vidé de ses hordes de touristes, farniente dans Palma baigné d’une lumière douce et tiède. J’aime son architecture, ses rues étroites, ses églises aux façades ciselées, sa langueur, ses terrasses, ses palais cachés. Enjoy ces quelques snapshots!

Les Etangs De Corot: The Bucolic Hotel Near Paris

Following my previous post

about the Paul and Joe’s Suite in the hotel Les Etangs de Corots : here the outsides I really enjoyed. A sweet incentive to contemplation and farniente (yes, just doing nothing!). Yes, even the fashion addict in me, needs relaxing breaks (lol!). The iPod plays Zara McFarlane (a London jazzy discovery, in a coming-up post).

Picture 1 : like in the South of de France (and Marcel Pagnol’s books), I feel totally de-stressed and so far away from the Paris cacophony (a bless!). Picture 2 : the room balcony calming view of ponds. Picture 3 : a listed guinguette from the late 19th or the beginning of the 20th century! Like in Renoir ou Carné’s movies with Arletty (a famous French actress and muse). Pictue 4 : the sleek covered deck of Café des Artistes, for a tasteful lunch, chatting with another ardent traveler, Pauline Pawlowski (last picture 5).
