Owiny Sigoma Band: Your New Year Eve’s Groove

Remember few years ago, I ended the year meeting the crazy mythic Jazz band, Sun Ra in Philly (lol). So you think you’ll miss the groove at your new year’s party… My remedy : Owiny Sigoma Band, check Gilles Peterson site!  Here two singles I do really like : the excellent remix of their single “Nabed Nade Ei Piny Ka (Rework)” found on Utube and the famous “Odera Lwar“! When London meets Africa, we can’t dream better! As we say in French : CA DECHIRE (it rocks)! You can buy their music in iTunes. I took those pictures in the Owiny Sigoma Band’s second live I attended (thanks P!). I “had” to take in my camera to dance! Lol! So party animals, now you are ready to celebrate this new year eve!

Owiny Sigoma Band: le groove de la soirée du Nouvel An

Rappelez-vous il a quelques années je finissais l’année par une abracabrante rencontre avec le mythique Jazz band, Sun Ra à Philly (lol). Donc si ce soir, vous avez peur de manquer d’une bonne dose de groove pour votre soirée du Nouvel An… Mon antidote :  Owiny Sigoma Band, petits protégés de Gilles Peterson. Si vous ne connaissez pas, voici deux tueries : un excellent remix de leur titre “Nabed Nade Ei Piny Ka (Rework)” sur Utube et/ou on se jete à corps perdu sur “Odera Lwar“! Quand London rencontre l’Afrique, on ne peut rêver mieux, CA DECHIRE! Leur musique est en vente sur iTunes. J’ai pris ces photos au deuxième concert d’Owiny Sigoma Band auquel j’assistais à quelques mois d’intervalle (merci P!). A chaque fois, tout le monde danse et je suis “obligée” de poser l’appareil pour danser moi aussi! Lol! Donc vous êtes fin prêt(e)s pour ze soirée, pomponné(e)s à souhait et blindé(e)s de groove : ENJOY ce réveillon, les voeux, ce sera pour minuit!

Groovy Brussels: Dam Funk @ Café Bonnefooi

Back to the real thing ! I love this sound : this moorning I discovered a blast in my e-mail box, Dam Funk, damned good! A DJ and a musician “made in L.A”., call him “the Ambassador”. Tonight he mixes in Brussels @ the Bonnefooi ! 1. Play the promo of one of his hits (sooooooooo difficult to make a choice between his singles). I’ve listened this one hundred times this afternoon. 2. Jump in your Boostsy  Collins blue glitters leggins. 3. @ midnight rush to the Bonnefooi, with your sexiest smile,  enjoy the sensual mix of the Ambassador and don’t leave the dancefloor even the moorning comes! Yeah babe, you’re beautiful and it’s summer time… Big up to u Marie ; )
