Need a Fashion Fix?

Here is a small selection of my last visit to the press days, where as always it is a pleasure to meet with the press office teams, discovering the new collections. And guess what? The spring-summer 2015 will definitely be colorful or won’t be!

Let’s start with the beautiful yellow tuxedo jacket and trousers of Zadig & Voltaire (picture above)! Their catalog for next season is great (on last picture, the cover).

On the photo montage below: No. 2 and No. 3, the brand’s rock spirit associated with a breath of fresh air! Kudos for the shawl! No. 1, beautiful Wouters & Hendrix big silver necklaces to match with very thin golden chains, or/and rings and bracelets.

No. 4: the talented nail artist, Elfi De Bruyn, applied Pronails polish on my nails at the Swatch opening store. My first time with sparkles on nails, lol! The bracelet is from the French brand Luz.

At Longchamp, I keep the rock spirit

with the stunning Pliage Héritage Luxe (picture below). Yes, elected by my humble me-myself-and-I (lol): “Object of Desire” for next season! Another favorite: the Madballs Pliage by Jeremy Scott for Longchamp this winter 2014.

If you like the Pliage, over 30 million bags sold worldwide, I recommend you the little book “Le Pliage by Longchamp” of Laure Verchère (Assouline).

On the photo montage below: No. 2 and No. 3, bicolor sandals/espadrilles and handbag, Longchamp. No. 1, at the Swatch event, I discovered this new natural drink (blackcurrant juice I guess?) and the latest Swatch collection.

Don’t worry, I will complete with boards on my Pinterest this small preview of spring-summer 2015 upcoming trendsI didn’t have time to go to all press offices where I was invited (sorry!), because the same day in the morning, I had a recruitment test.

Lisbon: Shopping, Beach and Night Market

Lisbon-Portugal-Shopping-Breakfast-Photo Mademoiselle Le K-copyright 2014

What to do a summer Saturday in Lisbon?

Cheerful colourful lazy breakfast in bed. Great breakfast, isn’t it? I was dying to show you it!

Already noon, it’s super hot. As I do not like the heat and I prefer discovering some boutiques of young designers in the deserted city. There are only tourists in town (LOL)!

On my way to Principe Real

Near the famous Embaixada, here are few shopping places I like for their decor or selection of clothing and accessories.

Pictured above, the boutiques : Alexandra Moura (3) and Gopa (4). And two concept stores: Slow Retail Concept Store (1) and 21 pr Concept Store (2).

I really like the Slow Retail Concept Store, where I spent a long time: very colorful with a boho vibe and very friendly traders.

At the Real Slow Retail Concept Store,

I like for the beach, the hippie chic embroidered tunics designed by Xana Madeira (pictured above, 3).

A bit of fancy with the bangles of Ana Calheiros (2). The corner of the multibrand, Rosebud for vintage chic accessories: bags (Chloe …), shoes and jewelry (4).

The Nomada coffee, for a drink or snack in a bohemian atmosphere. Plus it smells so good: unfortunately no time to stop me this time I have late lunch at the beach!

Hello the beach : )

We head  to Costa da Caparica, closer than Cascais or Gincho, 20 minutes drive from Lisbon. There is not a beach, but many beaches for miles. We arrive at 4.30-5 p.m., the best time!

The sun is still hot and gives us a golden complexion. The water is cold, it’s the ocean, but you quickly get used to it, thanks to the waves. My first swim was early May in an invigorating icy water!

Lively discussion (LOL) on our chairs, with the Brazilian electro music of the beach restaurant. And yummy fresh juices! Cheers!

Dinner at the market while listening to a DJ

Awesome! You can also listen to fado or blues lives some nights! So time to go and have a shower before going to dinner at the Mercado de Campo de Ourique.

Although I should be stayed on the beach, I really like the relaxed atmosphere of the market. A nice mix of people: families, groups of friends, hipsters, normcores and others …

Traditional Portuguese products at very reasonable prices. It’s simple and good: taste the Portugese beans (healthy and tasteful)! On weekends, it ‘s hard to find seats to eat.

Shopping for gifts in Lisbon

Shopping For Gifts In Lisbon-Embaixada-1-Photo MlleLeK-copyright 2013

1. EMBAIXADA : The Coming up Portuguese Designers. In a beautiful old palace (see all pictures), you get lost in a maze of rooms, where you discover various areas dedicated to the young Portuguese designers or brands. For the gourmet: I had a crush for the traditional Portuguese products (olive oils, sardines, biscuits …) with a really hype packaging! There are also great notebooks, pads etc… Many original gifts at affordable prices. Very nice coffee in the patio too (photo 3). Praça do Príncipe Real, nº 26.

2. CORK & CO : jewelry in cork and silver. I didn’t know that cork is used as a traditional craft materials in Portugal. Better tell you right away, in a soft version: I do not like cork at all! But a friend took me to this shop selling fashion and home accessoiries with a modern design (lamps, jewels & bags). And I really liked the bracelets that looked like brown leather, with silver! Like what anything can happen! LOL! Rua das Salgadeiras n°6-10, Bairro Alto.

3. ARTESARIA : memories of Lisbon. Yes, it’s true I don’t like souvenirs, but I can make exceptions (LOL)! Starting with this new boutique of Portuguese craft, where I let go my old obsession for notebooks. Notebooks of all sizes. The smaller ones are 2 euros with very cool covers representing the famous heart of Viana do Castelo, Azuleros etc … And you can choose several as a gift. Rua da Rosa, 14E.
