Need a Fashion Fix?

Here is a small selection of my last visit to the press days, where as always it is a pleasure to meet with the press office teams, discovering the new collections. And guess what? The spring-summer 2015 will definitely be colorful or won’t be!

Let’s start with the beautiful yellow tuxedo jacket and trousers of Zadig & Voltaire (picture above)! Their catalog for next season is great (on last picture, the cover).

On the photo montage below: No. 2 and No. 3, the brand’s rock spirit associated with a breath of fresh air! Kudos for the shawl! No. 1, beautiful Wouters & Hendrix big silver necklaces to match with very thin golden chains, or/and rings and bracelets.

No. 4: the talented nail artist, Elfi De Bruyn, applied Pronails polish on my nails at the Swatch opening store. My first time with sparkles on nails, lol! The bracelet is from the French brand Luz.

At Longchamp, I keep the rock spirit

with the stunning Pliage Héritage Luxe (picture below). Yes, elected by my humble me-myself-and-I (lol): “Object of Desire” for next season! Another favorite: the Madballs Pliage by Jeremy Scott for Longchamp this winter 2014.

If you like the Pliage, over 30 million bags sold worldwide, I recommend you the little book “Le Pliage by Longchamp” of Laure Verchère (Assouline).

On the photo montage below: No. 2 and No. 3, bicolor sandals/espadrilles and handbag, Longchamp. No. 1, at the Swatch event, I discovered this new natural drink (blackcurrant juice I guess?) and the latest Swatch collection.

Don’t worry, I will complete with boards on my Pinterest this small preview of spring-summer 2015 upcoming trendsI didn’t have time to go to all press offices where I was invited (sorry!), because the same day in the morning, I had a recruitment test.

Antwerp: Spring-Sum 2015 Trends at The UPR Press Days

Antwerp-UPR Pressdays-Club Med Lunch-Chef Pascal Devalkeneer-1-Photo Mademoiselle Le K-copyright 2014

I left early in the morning without knowing …

Arrived in Antwerp, I waited and waited for the bus … almost one hour! Note that by walking, it would have taken half an hour max! On the bus after two stops, the driver asked us to get out because he ended his service and invited us to choose to wait for his colleague or take another bus, explaining that today there was the strike.

I chose to walk twenty minutes under a drizzle that ruined my hair! When I finally arrived at UPR, nearly 2 hours late, I had a scarecrow head! Big thanks to the new hair products (completely ineffective) I’ve tried the night before to have the impeccable hair!

Never mind I’m right on time for the lunch organized by Club Med, for the presentation of its new Spring-Summer 2015, along with the CEO of Club Med Belgium and Luxembourg, Hadi Kamouh and his team. On the photo montage below: No. 1, the new catalog of Club Med.

The dishes cooked by the starred chef Pascal Devalkeneer are really delicious, my favorite: a dish consisting of thin slices of octopus (photo above). While the sommelier Eric Boschman is horrified seeing that I drink Coca Zero. “When you want to return to civilization …” he says to me serving me a glass of wine, LOL!

As I almost exclusively communicate through the Internet,

I have little opportunity to meet the people I work with. So it is always a pleasure to go to press days and put a face to familiar names : )

And of course discover new collections and labels that I didn’t know, such as Rado and Bell & Ross watches, the German brand Dorothy Schumacher, with simple lines and beautiful materials. And the Luz jewelry, really trendy.

On the photo montage above: No. 2, suspense! The beautiful Sam Edelman ankle boots, very soon in one of my fashion posts. No. 3, the Swarvoski necklace with 700 mini cristaux very soon in an upcoming post on a series of selfies I realized. And No. 4, the Ferragamo beautiful sunglasses, very Dolce Vita.

As you know I am a huge fan of sunglasses

And beauty: shortly on the blog, my new tests of l’Occitane products. I also had the opportunity to test the famous Sopolish of Pronails. Stickers to put on nails, on which the polish is applied for a perfect finish for three weeks! Without damaging the nails. To remove the polish, just remove the stickers!

Since the stickers and nail polish were applied (one week), my nails remained perfect! With my usual polish, after 2 days, it’s a disater. On the above photo montage: No. 1, the different sizes of stickers. No. 2, stickers placed on the nails, before limiting. No. 3, the ultra glam and flashy red that I chose. And No. 4, the catalog of the beautiful Spring-Sum 2015 collection of the Swedish brand Philippa K.

Brussels, Belgium: Dinner at Chez Montaigne

Foodies, you’ll enjoy this restaurant!

I recently discovered with my dear mum, the excellent restaurant Chez Montaigne, Place Brugmann 27.

My family and friends say I’m picky about food, but I don’t think so. I prefer the quality of products than some extravagant associations and sauces that kill the essence of the taste of each ingredient …

I like to be a bit surprised, but not too much! In other words, it’s quite challenging for the chef (LOL)! We sit inside because it’s raining on the terrace (pictures 1 & 5).

The decor is white and minimalist, a painting by Jean-Luc Moerman roughly recalls the French philosopher Montaigne. The light softens gradually as the evening progresses. We arrived early and will leave among the last (a good sign).

Great first meals

My mother chooses a salad of beets sliced very thin with chew, a half fig and hazelnut. Really delicious (picture above)!

As always, I don’t like to experiment and I choose a more conventional dish with thin avocado slices, parsley and lobster, perfectly seasoned (picture 2). Lovely presentation: many colors in the plate! And impeccable service both professional and friendly!

Then we order fish

served with lentils, asparagus and tomatoes. The cooking is perfect and  the dish is simple and tasty as I like. The large plates are not roborative.

After a long hesitation, we share a delicious homemade ice cream with vanilla (picture below).
