It’s Time To Hit The Road Again, Miss!

Last March, I was invited in Switzerland, to a conference about a luxury travel (a post soon). The first topic was to define today luxury: we all agree to define it by experience and service. And Casa da Cisterna is a perfect mix of these two concepts!

During my trip to the Center of Portugal, I had a real crush on this little gem nestled in the castle of Castelo Rodrigo, a medieval village overlooking a wide plain. Olympian calm and a view to die for! To open a book and curl up in a hammock.

Speaking of experience, Ana Berliner, the charming owner of Casa da Cisterna and her great team have prepared a surprise: a wilderness dinner atop a mountain overlooking Spain. Simple and elegant: one of the best memories of my stay in the Center!

Intimate

The more I travel, fewer places where instantly, I feel really good! Beyond the decor, it is first a question of energy, space and light. Upon entering my room, I had this reassuring diffused sensation of clarity, sharpness and sweetness.

Each room is decorated differently. The facilities are new, with separate shower and toilet, and the bedding is impeccable. In a weekend, I removed 15 days of insomnia :)) Photo below: the golden morning light and breakfast on the terrace. I never tire of the view!

Pop & Graphic

On my last trip to Paris with my mother, we stayed at the Hotel Ekta. This new hotel has a fantastic service and offers an intimate (few rooms) and trendy atmosphere, with lovely pictures inspired by the golden age of Courrèges.

In a previous post, I showed you the entrance, lounge and breakfast room inspired by the 60’s and designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel et Natasha Stojkovic. Here are my pictures of the original and comfortable suite, where we slept so well!

Photos above and below: the living area of the suite, with “printed” pictures on the two mirror sliding doors.

In the suite: to access the bedroom, you go through the bathroom very well thought out (with separate toilet). Photos above: 1. Modern facilities in the wide and pleasant shower with graphic black and white tiles. 2. We liked the products and special packaging of Fragonard for the hotel.

3. My bag by Jean-Paul Knott with the address of its latest store in Tokyo. On the same bright yellow armchair, my Palladium leather boots with double straps. I take them with me in all my recent city trips! So comfortable! And 4. I love this lamp I see everywhere!

Photos below: 1. The bed and bedside lamps, like in a late 60’s – early 70’s movie set, but in better version (I’m not crazy of “true” vintage!). Missing only Mireille Darc and Delon (LOL!) …

2. The closet and sliding doors of the bedroom. 3. The entrance to the suite that leads to the lounge. And 4. Beautiful photos in the corridor of the floor and one of the most successfull sentences of Instagram ; )
