Little Dragon Live in Antwerp Tonight

Few snapshots of Little Dragon after their live in Brugge yesterday: Yukimi Nagano (vocals), Erik Bodin (drums), Fred Wallin (bass) and Hakan Wirenstrand (keyboards). Those Swedish gifted musicians (yes I’m in my Scandinavian era!) play an exciting creative music. I’m addictive of their inspired second album, Machine Dreams. The clear mellifluous voice leads us in a melodic universe full of small crazy sounds (My Step) and air keyboards (Feather), with a strong groovy bass-drums. To listen again and again. Wandering in some small streets already covered between the shops of Anvers famous designers. Let’s have a break with fashion now and surf in narrow stress, with Virgin at buildings fronts corners. Northen light and southern slow motion. Beautiful weather. Chiseled roofs and tulips sloping by the North wind remind the nearby Holland. Slowly walking to the river banks till the port. Ballad song. Antwerp: “Paper Fashion” Exhibition at MoMu, the Fashion Museum

Till August the 16th 2009, at the Antwerp Fashion Museum, MoMu: “Paper Fashion“. A samll museum with really refined exhibitions. Who’s ever known Tapa? Me absolutely not! Tapa is the pioneer of paper, made by the Ituri, Pygmy of Congo. Matter softer than Papyrus, painted by women under hallucinogenics. Wow! A resume of men history in an exhibition gathering pop art, artists, fashion designers, restoration of Japanese Edo era’s clothes etc… A real pleasure! The scenography is simple and fun. An eclectic walk in times and cultures for our eyes. « Light » as a sheet of paper! And for all like me who doesn’t read captions at exhibitions, enjoy reading the small booklet at a table outside, under the spring sunshine! Quick and interesting!
