Tom Ford: Grey Vetiver, Fragrance for Men

Wow! Tom Ford is back

in my fashion and beauty glossary! Over and done with the demonstrative ex Mr. Gucci at the head of the wave of the nineties porno chic! I don’t know why, but recently I wanted to discover one of his men’s fragrances.

Grey Vetiver is a concentrate of Tom Ford’s world! We can easily imagine that the man who wears a Tom Ford fragrance, has some notions of style and manners! A vintage Cary Grant out of a chase of a tasty Hitchcock…

Grey Vetiver as its creator, is structured, efficient, sleek and elegant. Both classic and modern: discreet while being present and singular. The mix of vetiver and citrus (grapefruit and orange flower) adds to the freshness. The bottle brings a stylish finish. An olfactory lesson of style for the gentlemen. Thanks Tom!

Tom Ford: Grey Vetiver, parfum pour l’Homme

Wow! Tom Ford is back

Merci Tom!

ESSIE: Collection Spring 2012

Here are the amazing colors I selected

in the Collection Spring 2012 of ESSIE : 1. Ole Caliente, 2. Navigate Her, 3. Orange its Obvious and 4. Tour de Finance. Even the names are bubbling! So highly motivated, I decided to test these nail polish. It sounds like “my first time with ESSIE”. And I must confess the result of my testing is  “so-so”, not exactly what I was expected.

Let’s  start with the more : I choice to apply Ole Caliente, the gorgeous red very summery… I’ve already been in a hamac in a beautiful white sand beach (lol)! Its texture pretty thick is nice, offering a dense color. One coat is enough : out of habit I put two. About the drying time, I didn’t pay much attention cause I was working on my computer.

The less : Before Ole Caliente, I applied a coat of protective base (Mavala), to protect my nails. Then two coats of the red nail polish and for ending, a coat of top coat (Mavala) to protect and to give brilliance to the nail polish . So far no worries, the color is ab fab! And I’m crazy about it (lol!), I kept the nail polish 3 days. After using my usual mild remover (Herôme) : where the nail polish was, my nails have a pink coloration. The next day I try another remover : same result, the pink coloration stays. It’s the first time using a base coat, I have this problem. And even if I can have a big crush for ESSIE colors and texture : I want to find back my natural color after a nail polish!
