The Skiing Into Spring Event in The Fench Alps

Under A Radiant Sun

Back in The French Alps,

I am invited to the Skiing Into Spring press conference at Club Med Peisey-Vallandry. On the way from Geneva (picture 1 of the above photo montage), I enjoy the shores of the Lake Annecy (pictures 2 and 3 of the above photo montage). The trip seemed endless (not slept yet; lol).

The Club Med village is located at 1600m altitude in the Paradiski ski area. What a nice surprise when I arrive! I stay for a long time on the sun-drenched terrace with a panoramic mountain view (picture below and first picture of the article). The cold is pungent, an invigorating fresh air!

Why Skiing Into Spring?

The reasons given at the press conference are multiple: ideal snow conditions for all skiers, beginners and advanced; less people on the slopes; the discover other activities; partying or the observation of nature and especially great deals (some stays at the best prices). The Skiing Into Spring starts March 20th in France. For the participating ski resorts and partners, click HERE.

Coffee shop, short break after a traditional fabrics hunting with Christophe Prebois, the fashion designer of Brutals (stylish shirts for men).

A notebook on table : sketches and draws of Christophe’s travel in Japan. Some sketches look like photos. Others remind me the rythm of fabrics prints. I look at them, take pictures. Such beautiful illustrations!

Street Style

“Let’s walk in the woods, while the little blue hood … there! ” A week of real street looks: snapshots on the board below.

Between kawaii kawaiiiiiiii pink and holder Stockings in Harajuku, multicolored polka dots and green boots in Omotesando and eighties revival with slippers in Yoyogi Park. Coach, I sign for another week!

The Rockers of Yoyogi Park Vs The Shibuya Girls Fashion Shows

Right, I’ve often met the most xtreme rockers! Here are the dancers rockers of Yoyogi Park. Impressive mix of unique hairstyle with acrobatic jumps. They are the real “characters” of Yoyogi Park.

It was reckoning without the intrusion of Kawaii Land: why do these fashion teens rush with such frenzy? Fashion shows open to public.

If you want to check out the Shibuya girl style (the fashion tribe not the brand): visit the famous department store 109… in Shibuya of course!

Me, I can’t stand the bad techno musics loudly played in the differents shops there. Plus the chorus of non stop « sumimasen » shouted by salespersons. And I don’t like the outfits too, pretty boring. Harajuku is much more fun!

Customisez-Moi: “And The Winner is…”

I was invited as a jury member @ the sixth edition of Customisez-moi, 

The fashion event created and hosted by Bernard Gavilan, for the TAO prize of 2000 Euros which recognizes a young designer.

And the winner is: Samantha Van Den Driessche (picture 1) who also won all other awards of the evening, excepted the Little Black Dress Guerlain prize  (picture 2) given to Alizée Hilt.

Congratulations to the winners and all participants: Samantha Van Den Driessche and Alizée Hilt, Amarande Angeley, Isabelle Giroux, Julie Maridor Kim Wille, Louis de Mey and Ophee Weynants.

Picture 3: Louis de Mey and last picture: I found beautiful the grooming of the young models (from Dominique agency), congratulations to makeup artists and hairdressers!
