My Face Beauty Routine: Cleanser and Toner

MlleLeK Caudalie & La Roche Posay

Finally a beauty routine about cleanser and tonic that has managed to my skin!

After months of allergies and reactions: the lull for two and a half months and my skin has found back a beautiful shine! Although the products are different, I dug into my two of my favorite brands: Caudalie and La Roche Posay. And in addition to this post, for the care: I also tested the famous Creme de La Mer, face and eyes for the first time (post to come). But let’s start by cleaning the face. I started my new routine during the summer and at this time of year, my combination skin becomes oily. So I opted for the Instant Foaming Cleanser of  Caudalie, with grapes and sage which is rinsed with water (1). It is soap-free and very gentle for the skin. I like foams although my dermatologist is strictly against all the products that can be rinsed with water, for very sensitive skin!

As a toner, here is my magic potion (yes, it is!) After rinsing the foam, I gently sponge the fac. Then I spray the Thermal Spring Water Sensitive Skin of La Roche Posay all over the face, to soothe the skin (2). Followed by an application of Beauty Elixir of Caudalie, composed of grape, orange blossom, rose, balm mint and rosemary (3). I wait a bit for it to dry and wipe the rest with a tissue. Guaranteed toning effect, especially if these sprays are left in the fridge! During my first two applications of Beauty Elixir, I felt as tingling. So without waiting I rinsed my face with water, because I was afraid of an allergy or bad skin reaction. But after the third application, I had an incredible feeling of freshness (menthol) and energizing! Here’s a winning trio to prepare the skin to care.

My Summer Beauty Routine: Three Body Oils

I love body oils!

Here are the oils of my summer : Huile extraordinaire Nutriextra (the Nutriextra Extraordinary Oil) of Vichy (1) and Huile Divine (Divine Oil) de Caudalie (3). The Nutriextra Extraordinary Oil of Vichy really nourishes my sensitive skin very dry, a real challenge! This dry oil is composed of nine vegetable oils: muscat rose, jojoba, apricot almond, macadamia, passionflower, blackcurrant seed, rice bran, sunflower and coriander. Silicone-free and hypoallergenic! I enjoyed its non-greasy texture, very pleasant to apply to damp skin, leaving the skin a light satin veil. I finished the 125 ml spray, in a month of daily use!

And it will be the same for Divine Oil of Caudalie (100 ml spray) : I’m crazy of the irresistible fragrance with floral and woody notes. To feel bellissima, a sensual dry oil a bit sophisticated in a glass bottle. The dry oil is made of oils of grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan and antioxidant polyphenols patented by Caudalie. The plus: free of preservatives and silicones and not tested on animals. And finally, an oil which I already told you about in April: the Sublime Oil of Roger & Gallet (3) that I use as an as a perfume. Because less nourishing and moisturizing than the other two oils. But the scent cute! By the way: for very dry hair, prefer the old good Tahiti Monoi, smelling the beach and holidays…

My Summer Beauty Routine: Scrubs and Balm

One of the most important care, when you stay at the seaside: the scrub to prepare the skin and keep a nice tan long. I kept my two favorite scrubs I discovered aerlier this year. For the face : the Masque-gommage Réconfortant “Rose blanche” (the “White Rose” comforting face mask and exfoliator) of Doux Me, for fragile and sensitized skins. It’s bio: Doux Me cosmetics are among the few bio cosmetics that do not cause me allergies or reactions. And I love their textute! I prefer appling my scrub at night, to avoid problems with the sun. For the body: a touch of argan and Essaouira, with the Gommage soyeux au savon noir (the silky Black Soap Scrub) of Galénic. It’s not organic, but it makes the skinin credibly soft! I like slightly minty smell and texture like a jelly, a real treat! The super natural alternative (and extra light for the vanity case) dedicated to the beach babes: do a light body scrub with the sand, before plunging into the sea. To complete my body scrub: I apply the Haki balm with essential oils, on my feet. I use it only at night: as I don’t know its exact composition, I fear it might be photo-sensitizer (because of essential oils). This balm soothes, nourishes and softens the feet driest and the most stressed. Essential to have”happy” pretty feet (yes!) in flip flops and extra-flat sandals.
