Maison & Objet, Paris Fair: The Café ELLE Déco & Restaurant Frères Mariage

 Maison & Objet,

September  2011, great weather and hot temperature in the Paris-Villepinte design and interiors fair. Crossing many huge halls to join the exhibition Talents à la Carte : Hall 7, I discover the Café ELLE Déco and the Restaurant Frères Mariage.

Two great spots offer a visual freshness and an intimate feeling (what a challenge in this huge fair).

The Café ELLE Déco was designed by Patrick Gilles et Dorothée Boissier, awarded at Scènesd’intérieur, designers of the year 2011. It looks like a barn with many industriel details (the Gras light) and light raw wood. The result is a refine (sorry for the word!) barn really regressive : an urban fantaisy of the gran’ma’s barn!

In the Restaurant Frères Mariage, I’ve really enjoyed the light and shadow effects of the green plants hanging ights. This incandescent lights transform each table in a warm cocoon. I had the feeling to have a lunch in the friend’s summer home!
