Woody Allen represents Manhattan for me. Did you know his cobbler? Starting here in Midtown, one of my NY walks : on Broadway, taking some perpendiculars, from Carnegie Hall to Times Square. In front of Studio 54, daydreaming about the eighties. Passing the fire-station and after many endless blocks: a Pretzel in Times Square! Then going back to Central Park. At night everything is more gorgeous.

I need “washed-out” pictures like in the seventies to express my NY state of mind. Like old used jeans. My NY, my inseparable town. Where I’ve always come back. Here some faded pictures of my first NY mood. I could tell you about Meatpacking District, Pastis, Mercer and other considerate to be essential for the « fashion » planet. The effervescence of fashion shows. But I’m trendsetting for accessories and I have to hunt somewhere else, bargain-hunt in flea market too… And don’t know why, I feel like Bob the Sponge !
