Los Angeles: The Getty Museum

– Hi there ! Today I experience a new way to present you my crushes. A sort of visual written cast, what a concept! Lol! He is Glen, 100% Californian and I’m Mademoiselle Le K, 100% Parisian traveler. We are at The Getty museum of Los Angeles, located on the top of a hill. We liked a lot the architecture and gardens. Not necessary to precise you: permanent collections and exhibitions are impressive. Starting with this French strange clock! Such ugly as I could like it!

Better to list buildings and halls and exhibitions and periods: there are too much and quickly we get tired. I’d like to make you discover this astonished museum just walking by luck from indoor to outdoor. How could it be possible to stay inside with this incredible light? Huge perspectives and huge panorama! And refined details. You go up and down. Many stairs, like steps with the personal coach!

Los Angeles: le Musée Getty

– Bonjour à tous ! Aujourd’hui, on expérimente une nouvelle formule pour vous faire découvrir mes coups de cœur. L’émission visuelle écrite, tout un concept ! Lol ! Lui, c’est Glen, 100% californien pur jus et moi, Mademoiselle Le K, parisienne vagabonde. Nous sommes au Musée Getty de Los Angeles, musée village haut perché sur une colline surplombant la ville. Nous avons flashé sur l’architecture et les jardins. Inutile de vous préciser : les collections permanentes et les expositions sont impressionnantes. A commencer par cette terrifiante horloge française. La curiosité !

Et plutôt que d’énumérer bâtiments, salles, expos, périodes : il y en a tellement, très vite, on sature. J’ai envie de vous faire découvrir ce superbe musée, par nos errances in and out. Comment rester enfermés avec cette luminosité ? Perspectives gigantesques sur un panorama gigantesque ! Et détails soignés. Ca monte, descend : une journée au Getty, c’est un peu comme une vraie séance de steps avec coach !

Hollywood boulevard: day and night

Hollywood ! Going up to better look at the sprawling angels. Hollywood boulevard in daytime is a big cheap supermarket for not refined tourists. At night, better to forget: prostitutes and soliciting. The perpendicular streets are much more interesting, with trendy restaurants, bars and other, where the decoration is often a bit too much and rocco barocco, so characteristic and authentic. You’re in L.A. baby! Here no subtlety and great relax atmosphere.

Almost empty, the strip, early morning and already this incredible light : I love. Starting the Walk of Fame by Elvis Presley (related post about the today Thai Elvis Presley of L.A. !)
