A Selection of Light Fragrances: The Sparkling

A perfume selection for women

All those perfumes are absolutely new for me, I’ve never heard about those niche brands before. So exciting, I really enjoy discovering them. For selecting the 5 “light” perfumes on the picture below, I’ve smell more than 30 perfumes, because I wanted to smell almost all perfumes of each brands!

This first selection is for lovers of light perfumes, sometimes sweet, leaving in the air a note of happiness. I call them “The Sparkling”. Check out my other post about “The (spicy) Heady” perfumes.

Except Still Life of Olfactive Studio (great modern design), I find the bottles very disappointing and really not “sexy” (no dream, no fantasy), such a shame…

1. Yuzu Fou OF PARFUM D’EMPIRE

Delicious as a sweet citrus sorbet (kumquat, orange, bitter orange), Gourmand and light.

2. Reflection OF AMOUAGE

A bouquet of white flowers that vaguely recalls the fresh fig. Fresh and bright, illustrates youth… carefree, a spring morning.

3. Still Life OF OLFACTIVE STUDIO

Strong presence of the citrus (Yuzu again, a trend I really like). A touch of happiness. Slightly sweet. Simple and unpretentious and very contemporary. A”happy” trail.

4. Miss Charming OF Juliette Has a Gun

I’ve initially found difficult to smell anything, then scent became more present. Very slightly sweet (Moroccan rose, musk, wild fruits). (Too) subtle, charming, definitely too discrete for my taste.

5. Les Princesses de Venise OF Romea d’Améor

(The Princesses of Venice) : fruity (orange, grapefruit, blackcurrant, melon, pineapple… ), really gourmand. A trail, a movement, a presence. A perfume that I immediately liked.

Une sélection de parfums pointus et aériens

Ma sélection très printanière de parfums pour femme

Tous ces parfums étaient totalement inédits pour moi! Je ne connaissais absolument pas ces marques de niche. Et comme j’aime découvrir, je me suis éclatée! J’ai dû sentir plus d’une trentaine d’eaux de parfum, parfois plusieurs eaux d’une même marque, voir toutes pour certaines marques. Mon côté perfectionniste!

Cette sélection s’adresse tout particulièrement aux amateurs de parfums légers et aériens, parfois sucrés, distillant une note de gaieté, “Les pétillants”.

A l’exception de Still Life d’Olfactive Studio dont je trouve le flacon résolument moderne, les autres flacons sont très décevants et vraiment pas “sexy” : on ne voyage pas mentalement, dommage… Les parfums parlent à l’imaginaire autant le contenu que la contenant!

1. Yuzu Fou DE Parfums d’Empire

Délicieux comme un sorbet aux agrumes sucrés (kumquat, orange, bigarade), gourmand et léger.

2. Reflection D’AMOUAGE

Un bouquet de fleurs blanches qui rappelle vaguement la figue fraîche. Frais et lumineux, illustre la jeunesse… l’insouciance, un matin printanier.

3. Still Life D’Olfactive Studio

Forte présence de l’agrume (Yuzu again, une tendance qui perdure). Un zest de bonheur. Légèrement sucré. Simple, sans prétention. Sillage « heureux », très contemporain.

4. Miss Charming DE Juliette Has a Gun

J’ai d’abord eu du mal à sentir quoi que ce soit, puis le parfum s’est fait plus présent. Très légèrement sucré (rose marocaine, muscs, fruits sauvages). Subtile, charmant, mais qui reste trop discret à mon goût.

5. Les Princesses de Venise, DE Romea d’Améor

Fruité (orange, pamaplemousse, cassis-ananas-melon…), un peu-beaucoup gourmand. Un sillage, un mouvement, une présence. Une eau de parfum qui m’a plu immédiatement.

Make-up: My Spring 2014 Routine

I’m not crazy of make-up, but I’m changing ; )

As in fashion, I like the Less Is More attitude with a passion for nude, lipsticks and smoky eyes! And thanks to the M.A.C. Antonio Lopez collection, I discovered I liked the pink blush, yes, me! A HAPPINESS product that instantly illuminates the face and gives you good looks! This is my number one product of the first three months of 2014. And the packaging is awesome too! I add to set makeup or refresh the face, the incredible Eau de Beauté of Caudalie I don’t get tired!

My good mood must have for day and night, I’m a huge fan!

My sister was the first to talk to me about the Clinic Chubby Sticks. I immediately liked the texture of those large crayons, which is more lightweight and comfortable than traditional lipsticks and silkier and less sticky than gloss. And I also liked the greedy colors: 14 Curvy Candy (1.) I apply before or after 11 Two Ton Tomato (2.), to give a more iridescent hue or bright red. I rarely put the one without the other and in any case, I always start with the Kiehl’s Lip Balm # 1 (3.) to nourish and soften my lips.

Ah! Tom, yes Tom Ford, with your Diva packaging, you are fast becoming the must have of my parties! A “Lip Color lipstick” RED RED, 10 Cherry Lush (1.): Femininity, elegance … with a touch of je ne sais quoi: Lab Shine, the “glittery” gloss of Make Up For Ever that I apply after the 10 Cherry Lush. And I don’t care if it’s the trend or not!

Far-far from pro make-up artists!

L’Intensifying Long Wear Mascara de Bobbi Brown (1.) lengthens lashes one by one, while giving a very natural look. It is also very (too) strong to remove! Daytime I prefer the slightly iridescent brown of L’Oréal Paris Color Appeal Trio Pro (2.). Occasionally a line of eyeliner to highlight the lashes with the Super Liner Perfect Slim of L’Oréal Paris (3.). It’s a kind of fine-tipped paintbrush, very easy to apply which makes me forget the black pencil! This winter I finally used the Bronzing Powder Golden Light 1 of Bobby Brown (4.) in very very light way (before applying my M.A.C. pink blush). Picture below, the Estée Lauder Cyber Lilac eyeshadow I mostly use to make great smocky eyes. Lovely object that I slip in my makeup kit with pleasure.
